Parking & Security
Bayflowers Guest House is situated in a quite cul-de-sac, with sufficient parking in the street at the guest house. Cape Town is a major, modern cosmopolitan South African city. As such, we would advise travelers to exercise the same level of vigilance they would exercise when visiting any major city in the world.
Keys
Please remember to turn in the key at reception prior to departure. Please Note: Misplaced keys are a security risk to our establishment and will be charged.
Green Tourism
Sustainable Hospitality is our key focus and we've implemented several initiatives to minimize our impact on the environment. We endeavor to make use of ethically produced organic goods when procuring in aid to support Fair Trade Tourism and currently recycle 90% of all our waste. We harvest all our greywater and we've installed aerators in all bathrooms, thus reducing our water consumption by 50%. On the property we have 45 solar panels connected to invertors and a fully operational battery back-up system.
About
Built in the late 1800s, the house was originally a family residence. In 2006 Jeanne & Michael purchased the property and it was their aim to bring it back to the original Georgian architectural style, marked by symmetry and proportion. Over several years of intermittent construction and development Bayflowers Guest House proudly evolved into the charming and well-loved guest house it is today, gracefully merging the old and new.
